Get Out of Dodge

This was my third project at KU working as a producer and director.

This documentary is a profile of Joyce Warshaw. The former mayor of Dodge City, Kansas. Following a vote for a mask mandate in the rural town, Joyce faced anger and even death threats for her decision. Fearing for her safety, Joyce decided to resign and get the hell out of Dodge.

  • Madison Pedigo (Director, Producer, & Co-Editor) and Kale Ralston (Cam & Co-Editor)

  • Special thanks to Joyce Warshaw. She’s been interviewed about this subject a million times. She is retired and no longer plans on talking about it, so I am very grateful that when a goofy little KU Student approached her about a documentary, she said yes.

  • This is my latest project with KU. It’s still being edited, but here is a rough draft.
